FLOWER SCHOOL
Yr 11 students from Oak Lodge had an introductory to floristry session at
Flower Station Hampstead Garden Suburb
In July 2024 Oak Lodge School & Hearts of Oak teamed up with Magic Breakfast to ensure that no child in the school would be too hungry to learn and thrive!
This new provision not only supplies vital nutrition but also plays a pivotal role in boosting outcomes .This project has proved so successful that is has has superceded previous projects.
In 2022 we partnered with City Harvest re-distributing food to families that would otherwise be wasted.https://cityharvest.org.uk/about-city-harvest/
In 2020 staff from the school set up a food delivery service to homes during lockdown with supplies donated from M&S , the CO OP and Bekems a local greengrocer https://bekemsfoodstore.co.uk/
We will continue to work with the Trussel trust & Chipping Barnet Food Bank https://chippingbarnet.foodbank.org.uk/, who have been extremely supportive, enabling us to distribute Supermarket Vouchers to identified families and providing additional resources.
